
2026 International Collaborative Writing Groups (ICWGs) Academic Track – Co-Leader Announcement
On behalf of the Publications Committee and ISSOTL, we are pleased to announce the Co-Leaders for the 2026 International Collaborative Writing Groups (ICWGs) Academic Track.
Please join us in welcoming the new Co-Leaders who will be leading our next cohort of writing groups in conjunction with the ISSOTL26 Conference:
Leda Stawnychko

Dr. Leda Stawnychko is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Organizational Theory in the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University, with adjunct academic appointments at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and the Cumming School of Medicine. Her research focuses on cultivating effective, adaptive academic leadership across institutional and disciplinary systems. Her SoTL scholarship emphasizes reflective pedagogy, student–faculty partnerships, and ethical, relational approaches to teaching, learning, and leading in higher education.
Karen Lander

Dr. Karen Lander is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Education in the Division of Psychology, Communication and Human Neuroscience at the University of Manchester, UK. Her research focuses on face perception, and she teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. Her SoTL work centres on enhancing student engagement, developing inclusive and accessible learning environments, and improving the quality of teaching. She actively disseminates her work nationally and internationally through publications, talks, and digital resources, and contributes to multiple teaching-focused networks and initiatives supporting innovation and professional development in higher education.
Leslie Woltenberg

Dr. Leslie Woltenberg is an Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Kentucky. She serves as Director of Scholarship in the College of Health Sciences and leads a SoTL Faculty Learning Community. She teaches biostatistics and research methods, with a focus on the development of health professions learners as evidence-informed, emotionally intelligent practitioners and scholars. Her research areas include the SoTL, assessment in the health professions, student development, and interprofessional education.
