ISSOTL and Utrecht University proudly welcome the SoTL community to Utrecht, the Netherlands for ISSOTL23. Join the community at the Railway Museum from November 8-11, 2023. With your active contribution, we hope to establish an inspiring programme around the conference theme Context Matters.
The conference will be in-person and will feature pre-conference workshops, thought-provoking plenary speakers, ample room to present and discuss scholarly work, inspirational workshops, energizing city walks and fun fringe sessions.
Improving Teaching and Learning through Inquiry in Higher Education – Context Matters
When you are involved or interested in improving your teaching and learning through inquiry in higher education, ISSOTL23 is the perfect sight to share and discuss your work with others. SoTL involves academics undertaking systematic inquiry about student learning, and sharing that knowledge on education with each other.
The theme of the 2023 conference is: ‘Context Matters’. The theme stresses the importance of context in teaching and learning, as well as for conducting SoTL. The conference will reflect on four levels of context: the teaching and learning context, the disciplinary context, the institutional context, and the geographical, language and political context. We aim to cluster contributions for the programme based on these subthemes. Please read more about the theme here.
