General Education Interest Group
Welcome to the General Education Interest Group
This ISSOTL General Education Interest Group serves as an international, interdisciplinary network for ISSOTL members who are committed to pursuing SoTL projects in the field of general education.
Are you someone who is involved in planning, teaching, or assessing curricula for your institution’s general education program or core curriculum? Are you responsible for the development of faculty/staff instructors? Are you interested in how curriculum design and development impact on student and staff well-being? Or how we can better advance SoTL within institutions and across higher education?
We welcome members interested in exploring the role and impact of SoTL in General Education and core curricula. This group offers opportunities for dialogue, encourages, and promotes scholarly research and provides support for co-inquiry to ISSOTL members, especially to those members seeking to gain support to further explore a new area or topic.
Co-Chairs:
Professor Susan Smith (susan.a.smith@ucl.ac.uk) and Professor Dawne Irving-Bell (dawneirvingbell@bpp.com)
