The Journal

  • Make your scholarship public, and get feedback from other experts in the field, by submitting an article to TLI.
  • Mentor others, and help advance their scholarship, by becoming a peer reviewer for Teaching & Learning Inquiry.
  • Write a Dialogue piece responding to a previous article in TLI or a TLI Review about a conference, book, article, or other resources, including web resources.

  • View the five Grand Challenges for SoTL, identified through a five-year project undertaken by ISSOTL members.
  • These Grand Challenges for SoTL will provide a framework to support far-reaching collaborations, and they will communicate the value of and guide actions undertaken by ISSOTL, by SoTL scholars, and for public outreach.

ISSOTL International Collaborative Writing Groups (ICWGs)

  • ISSOTL’s ICWG Initiative sponsors groups that are international, collaborative, focused on a SoTL-relevant topic, and organized around the development of a single project.
  • The ICWG-Academic track focuses on academic writing for the SoTL community to produce scholarly articles that are submitted to TLI.
  • The ICWG-Public track focuses on writing for audiences beyond the academy to produce public SoTL, or works of public scholarship informed by SoTL.
